About Emilliano

My work is built around the idea that an image does not have to reveal everything in order to communicate something meaningful. Through Puzzleism, I combine different artistic styles, mediums and visual languages, using the structure of puzzle pieces to fragment and reconnect the image in a deliberate way.
I am interested in the moment where the viewer stops simply looking and begins to participate. By leaving parts of an image incomplete, the mind instinctively tries to resolve what is missing. That reaction transforms the viewer into an involuntary co-creator of the work, completing elements through perception, memory and interpretation.
My practice is shaped by contrast: precision and spontaneity, structure and emotion, control and uncertainty. I am constantly interested in how apparently opposing visual elements can exist within the same composition without losing their individual identity.
For me, Puzzleism is not simply a recurring visual element or technique. It is a developing artistic language and a framework through which I can explore different subjects, styles and materials while maintaining a recognisable structure. Each work becomes both a completed object and something intentionally left open for the viewer to resolve.
